Golden no more
deserves the moniker "ghost town" than do any of the hundreds
of other small communities that curl around the New Mexico landscape. At
one time, the settlement consisted of many abandoned dwellings, but today
it is a living community. It is definitely worth seeing, especially
to take in the beautiful Catholic church of San Francisco (shown above)
on top of the hill.
