About PseudoNMs

Maybe you're broke and can't take a vacation. Maybe your car is in the shop for repairs. Worse yet, maybe you're one of the few who hasn't yet realized how cool New Mexico is. Whatever the reason, you won't be hitting the sites anytime soon.

That's where PseudoNM's come in. PseudoNMs put you in the center of a location. Turning 360 degrees around in either direction, you admire everything that surrounds you. You zoom in for a closer view, zoom out for the "big picture." Think of PseudoNMs as a virtual road trip, without the risk of a flat tire.

When you run a PseudoNM, you'll see a small window on your screen with a picture of the site you've selected. By clicking and holding your left mouse button, you can "drag" the picture to the right or left. As you do, the photo moves in that direction, and you see what's there, just as if you were actually turning around yourself. (Don't spin too fast or you'll get virtual vertigo!) If you want a closer look at something, zoom in with the SHIFT key. To move back out again, press CONTROL.

You're going to need the Apple QuickTime viewer to see PseudoNM's. Follow the link below to get it. Also, be forewarned: the PseudoNM files are pretty big (coolness doesn't come cheap). Of course, I would never advise that you look at them while at work where you have a high-speed connection and a nice monitor...
