Mescalero Sands

Most everyone knows about White Sands National Monument, but few know about Mescalero Sands. While not as extensive as White Sands, Mescalero Sands is still an interesting place, and a good spot to see if you're traveling east from Roswell. A passenger car can make it fine, though the area is open for off-road vehicles too. It is managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

  • COUNTY:  Chaves
