May Cafe, Albuquerque

Location

111 Louisiana Blvd SE. Just south of Central, underneath the giant statue of Paul Bunyan.

Review

The May Cafe serves the best Vietnamese food in the Southwest. Bringing forth *extremely* fresh dishes sans chemicals, the staff is almost exclusively Vietnamese. Prices are more than reasonable ($4.50 - $8.00) for the amount served. I don't know anyone who can finish a plate on a regular basis. I highly recomend the BBQ pork with wonton soup, the stir fried rice noodles with vegetables and shrimp, or the lemon grass chicken on vermacelli. The May Cafe has an extensive list of vegetarian dishes as well as native drinks and desserts. I have never had a meal at the May Cafe I did not enjoy.
