The Owl Bar, San Antonio (New Mexico, that is)

Off of Interstate 25 at exit 139--go a couple of miles east toward the Bosque del Apache--it's on the lefthand side of the street.

Review

It's dark and may remind you of a biker bar, but The Owl has the best green chile cheeseburgers in the state. And green chile cheese fries! Add a cold beer and life is complete. Sure there's other stuff on the menu, but why bother?

If you're making the drive from Albuquerque to Las Cruces (or vice versa) it's halfway--a great stopping off point. And it's cheap too!

They serve the best green chili cheeseburgers I have ever tasted, even better than the Shed in Santa Fe. I only wish I could find something comparable here in Michigan
