La Chiripada Winery, family owned and operated, has grown grapes and produced award winning wines since 1981. The ten acres of vines located in the Embudo Valley, fifty miles north of Santa Fe and twenty-five miles south of Taos, provides about one half the grapes needed for our forty-ton harvest and crush. Our wines range from dry, barrel-fermented, elegant white table wines to picnic style blush wines.
Visitor are welcome to taste our fine wines while browsing through our showrooms.
Our hours at the winery are Monday through Saturday 10-5. At our Tasting Room in Taos, on the Plaza, the hours are 10-5 Monday through Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday. Both locations also feature stoneware pottery produced by family members.
