Eat at Dan's is a small eatery on Highway 60 heading west out of Socorro. The interior is clean and pleasant, decorated mainly by sayings from Dan or from those he has collected. The food is American and Mexican. The burgers are ample and the fries overflow the plate. The chicken dishes are very good, utilizing high-quality chicken breast in tacos, burritos, sandwiches, etc. Dan has lately been smoking ribs, brisket, and chicken. It is the only place in central NM that I am aware of that has smoked meats of this quality. The prices are very reasonable. No beer or wine, but the usual assortment of soft drinks, ice tea and lemonade. It's worth a stop.
