Lomas & 16th, Albuquerque. Other locations on Osuna in Albuquerque and Cerillos in Santa Fe.
An excellent place for family dining -- the food is a New Mexico version of down-home cooking. The atmosphere is casual, and children are more than welcome -- this is my 5-year-old's favorite place to eat.
The food is hearty and well prepared. While it's not a regular menu item, the seafood enchiladas are a frequent special and well worth trying. Also, the chiles rellenos are wonderful, and the breakfast plates are fantastic. The side dishes are especially good -- the sopaipillas are doughier than most, but not as greasy, and the rice is delightful, not the usual gummy vaguely tomatoey stuff.
